Net Rate Scheme
Enterprise users can set the rules of net rate. You can set the percent of rates of different match types such as different match rates between segments in the source and in the TMs, repetitions, cross-file repetitions and MT.
In Net Rate Scheme, you can specify the pricing method for the current project. At present, the system provides four pricing methods: pricing based on word count of the source, on the count of Asian characters and Korean words in the source, on word count of the target, and on the count of Asian characters and Korean words in the target.
When you assign tasks to translators and editors after setting Net Rate Scheme, YiCAT will calculate the net rates of tasks for each translator and editor based on what you set.
How to assign
In YiCAT Enterprise, you can set Net Rate Scheme in two ways.
Net Rate Scheme for enterprises
You can click Projects Management - Settings - Net Rate Scheme in the left navigation bar of YiCAT to enter the Net Rate Scheme interface. In this interface, you can set the percent of rates for different match rates, repetitions, cross-file repetitions and MT. The figures you set will be applied to all projects created by the enterprise, and you don't need to set them again.
Note: The net rates of TM will take effect only when the pre-translation function is enabled.
Net Rate Scheme for projects
If different rules of net rate are needed in your project, you can change the settings when creating or setting the project.
1. When no project is created, you can click Projects Management - Projects - Create to enter the Create page. You can set the net rate in Net Rate Scheme at the bottom of the page.
2. If you need to change the rules of net rate after creating a project, you can click Projects Management - Projects - Details - Settings, to enter the Settings page to make your changes, and click Save at the bottom of the page to update the settings.
Note:
- If changes are made after the project is created, the new rules will not be applied to the tasks assigned before. The new rules will be applied to tasks assigned after the change.
- If the task is canceled during the project, the system will recalculate the net rate based on the final status of the segments. Recalculated tasks
Count units
If different pricing methods are needed in your project, you can use the Count units function to calculate the word count of each task specifically. At present, the system provides four pricing methods: pricing based on word count of the source, on the count of Asian characters and Korean words in the source, on word count of the target, and on the count of Asian characters and Korean words in the target. Pricing based on word count of the source is defaulted.
Note: Count Units settings is only available while creating projects, and it can't be changed after that.
1. When creating the project, you can click Projects Management - Projects - Create to enter the Create page. You can set the rules of net rate in Net Rate Scheme at the bottom of the page.
Task net rate
With the net rate scheme and the pricing methods set, if the project is priced based on its source text, the system will automatically calculate the net rate after tasks are assigned. If the project is priced based on its target text, the system will automatically calculate the net rate after the translator clicks the Submit button in the Editor or after the task is completed.
View the net rate
If you are a translator, you can view the net rate of each task in My Tasks.
If you are a project manager, you can view the net rate of each task in Projects Management - Projects - Details - Costs.
The project manager can view the task details of each translator in Members - Profile - Jobs.
The rules of net rate for canceled tasks
If the task is canceled during the project, the system will recalculate the net rate based on the final status of the segments. All canceled tasks can be viewed in My Tasks, Costs and Jobs.
